A Regular Day Under Heaven Above
Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
It has been a nice morning. Becky is thinking about Thanksgiving Day. She mentioned different types of food she would like for us to have. She likes cherry pie, sweet potatoes, turkey, apple pie, delicious dressing, turkey gravy, and much more.
I will do my best to buy as much stuff as I possibly can by catching sales. I will probably buy a frozen turkey early and put it in our freezer. We have lots of can goods, but maybe I will buy some frozen vegetables for the dinner.
I will buy some good soft drinks on sale between now and Thanksgiving day. We also have to have food during the month so I plan to buy some Brownie Mix by the boxes. Becky and Joann like them. I had a chance to buy some boxes for only one dollar each. I should have purchased them. I will check again to see if the prices are the same.
Becky likes chocolate cookies with milk before going to bed. I have to put them on the list. Joann likes sliced turkey. Can you believe that we once bought it for eight dollars a pound. That was highway robbery. Never ever again will I be a sucker. I see it on sale in another store for 2.99 a pound, which is where I will go to buy it.
The store I go to now has some very reasonable sales. Bread that I use to pay three dollars for, I buy it for a dollar a loaf.
If I can cook something I will do it. Cooking something yourself often saves money. I love to make chicken salad. I buy all the ingredients at economical prices. I make enough to give a bowl of it to Joann's mother. She is seventy five years old. We often ask her if she has enough food for herself in her home. It is difficult for her to get around easily because of her diabetes.
Joann's mother like spaghetti. This Sunday coming I will cook some gravy and add some mild smoke sausage to it. She will love it with the pasta.
The weather is nice outside. This evening maybe I will bring Becky outside with me. I need to change some letters on our electric sign. I have a few guitars, and other stuff I want to sell. It would make the coming months a little easier for us. In January it will be time to pay taxes so I need to save up some money for them. Property taxes, city taxes, taxes that help our town for certain purposes. It always happens before Christmas when we receive notices that must be attended too. It can be kind of tough sometimes to save money for them, and still have a bit of a Christmas. However I am not complaining because taxes are necessary for things to be done.
I bought a bunch of stuff that I meant to sell in our yard sale. We have been too tired to simply go outside to change advertisement words on our electric sign. We need to work a little harder to sell some items.
People have been wanting to buy my mother's old car that a parked twelve years ago. I have been too tired and fatigued to keep it clean. Maybe I will let it go, and use the money from it to pay taxes. I have been offered more than a hundred dollars for it. I could sell it fast for that amount. I have to find the title to the car. I guess I would have to sign the back of it and take the license plate to the motor vehicles place. You just don't sell a car out right. There are things involved that must be done.
I am not sure what I will do about the car.
God Bless Everyone.

Nice to read about how you are getting on. Even if you can't do anything just go outside, now the weather is cooler, and sit out there. It is better for all of your health than sitting inside. Wishing you all the best.
Leon hard to not let it all overwhelm you and some times it is good just to take a deep breath and a good rest and you can recharge and the important issues come to the fore making it all the more achievable. Peace be with you.

I pray that you'd let all this worry just shake off! Do what you can each day , and ask God for strength. We disabled folks can't do it all. We just have to take each day as a blessing to be alive, and do as much as we can, then let tomorrow be tomorrow.Hugs to all of you!
