My Parents Are In Heaven. I Don't Think They Would Mind If I Borrowed Their Washing Machine .

September 14, 2010 Tuesday.
I have never seen any ghosts of mom , or dad, but their always welcome to come back home.
I need to trim limbs ,and small trees that have grown wild around their house. My health makes everything more difficult to do.
Joann rubbed my shoulders ,and neck with a cream in a tube for muscle pain. I took some medicine, then went to bed, and woke up early this morning. Everything hurts when I cough.
My mother would have been happy to know that we were able to use her washing machine. She died thirteen years ago, and she is still in my mind, but not too often . I loved her, and dad so much. Their lifeless empty house brings a sick feeling in my stomach when I walk in it . I mean it still has furniture , and lots of stuff in it, but no life.
Yesterday I started my riding lawn mower, and brought a rake along with me. I decided to pick up old wood, and some small chunks of cement from high grass while sitting on the mower. You would think this is difficult, and you would be so right.
Everything required a lot of pulling and dragging of items while sitting on the mower. Sometimes it is hard for me to walk so I grab items with my walking cane, or use my pick up device, or drag things with a rake ,or a garden hoe so I can reach them.
There is some heavy wire sticking out of the ground. I will have to cut into pieces with a special wire cutter, then I will have to drag it somewhere where it want be in the way.
At home I had to spray our kitchen cabinets very well. I had to pick up all the cat food and water bowls from our floor.
Today if I feel better I may try to move a sheet of plywood from the ground that has been around too long. I had to rebuild a wheelchair ramp for Becky about six months ago. The old lumber from it needs to be torn off the ground, and burned .
We discovered that our washing machine is no longer any good. Mom had a washer in their house so I took it, and brought it home. It was almost new when she died. The machine has not been used for thirteen years .
Today became quite a busy day for Joann and I . We are so sore from moving mom's washing machine to our home. I was concerned it might not work because it was not used for thirteen years, but it seems to work well with the exception of some bad shaking it does during the spin cycles. Maybe it needs to be leveled better.
It took us much time to move things out of the way, and our manual hand truck had a deflated tire to add more work to our already exhausting job .
Mom's washer probably needs to be balanced. When I feel better I will have to concentrate on lying on the floor to move things under the corners of it. The whole job would have been much easier for a younger couple. Joann , and I are not young anymore.
God Bless Everyone.

Work never ends. There is always something to do and we just have keep going the best we can
I'm glad you have a new washer, but do take it easy and don't lift heavy things.
May God's favour rest on you and your family this week. :)
