How Do You Measure Up In The Race To Success In Life.

How do you know if you have done well in life ? There are so many ways to fit in the world of success , and I am not just going to talk about material assets in life.

Do you run, and chase after money ? Money is good to have, but never allow it to be your substitute for love , or God.

Money is a tool, and nothing more. It is a tool that should only be designed to do good for you, or for everyone else on earth.

How do you know if you have done some right things in life ? Have you ever gone out of your way to hurt someone intentionally ? If you have, then this is not a good thing unless you have had to do it to protect your family, or yourself, or your neighbors, or country.

Hate is not a good thing to possess no matter how many reasons you think you may have the right to possess it. Do what you need to do to serve , and protect everyone you love, and honor, and cherish, and sometimes do things that are not easy, or not pleasant, but only do them because you may have to. Do the right things, Do them for good intentions .

What we do for justice is one of those good things. What we do for peace is good. Love is always good. To care about others is good. Never steal. Never cheat. Never lie. Never abuse anyone. Never conspire to take something good away from another person. Never take food out of someone else's mouth, or the mouths of their babes.

So what is really success in life ? Maybe it has something to do with just living right, and living fair, and square for what is right.

It is often always so comfortable, and relaxing, and pleasant to be in the company of people you can trust. Trust makes life easier. Honesty is always good. Honesty in love. Honesty in your work. Honesty in life is a fine thing.

Being clean is a wonderful thing. If your able to do it, keep yourself clean, take care of your teeth, and hair, and put on some clean clothes. If you know someone who is dear to you that would appreciate a helping hand , then help someone to wash their hands, and even their feet like Christ washed the feet of others. Could you wash the feet of your mother, or father, or sister, or brother, or of a dear friend ?

Could you wash a stranger if he needed help ? One day when I was working at a Super Store a challenged citizen, a mentally challenged man soiled his underwear so awfully bad that his toilet seat, and his drawers, and blue jean pants were full of just plain you know what.

When I walked into the men's room it looked like horror. I saw a man sitting on a commode with his pants down, and he was wearing a cowboy hat, and cowboy boots.

It was a disaster because the poor soul could not help himself. He would not get off the toilet. He was confused. His mother outside the men's room asked me if her son was in the bathroom in trouble.

I know what it is like to have a messed up stomach, and to have the you know whats. I told the lady I would try to help.

There was a lot of things that had to be done. The first thing that had to be done was to help the man to get rid of his extremely soiled drawers. Off came his drawers, and in the garbage can I threw them with my very careful hands covered with paper.

I wet some paper towels, about a thousand of them. Other men came in , and out of the bathroom not paying too much attention to what I was doing.

I washed up the man fairly well, and told him to wipe his legs with the dry paper towels. His blue jeans had some mess on them too so I wiped them as clean as I could with wet paper towels to where they would be decent enough to get the man back to his mother .

There were men in the men's room so I chose to try my best to help the mother out. The man's cowboy boots were really difficult to remove, but they were removed so that the man's britches could be wiped pretty good. Another man helped me to pull off the man's boots.

When it was all over, I called the maintenance crew to clean the rest room because it looked like a tornado hit it.

The mother was glad that I had helped. I could have chosen not to get involved, but I have a daughter that can not walk that must be washed, and cleaned every day.

Our daughter Becky has to have adult undergarments changed around the clock. And it all involves a lot of washing , and cleaning by her mother who has done so for more than thirty years.

My daughter is a beautiful girl. She can not clean herself like a regular person, not with only one good working arm, or one good eye, and no sitting balance.

Our Becky looks like a rose, and smells like roses. She is clean, washed, and has had wonderdul care by a loving mother all of her life. I help, but not near as much as what Joann does.

So what in the world does success mean ? To me it does really matter much. We have nothing we have to prove.

The cowboy walked out of the men's room O.K. So how much do we do for people we have never met ?

Do what is good, and always do what is right, and help yourself, and others to get ahead as well.

Help your neighbors get ahead in business , and to succeed in life. Because when you help people by buying from them in their small businesses, you help them feed their children, and you help your country in many direct ways. By helping another man, you help your country to get tax money to pay for many necessary things your country needs .

Money is only a tool to help you to do some good things. And it should never be your God.

Money is never more important than what it should serve.

The young man walked out of the men's room wearing his black felt cowboy hat , and wearing his blue jeans, and fine cowboy boots with dignity. His mother thanked me a lot.
