Have Fun Writing And Improving Your Score On Your Hubs.

July 21, 2010. I enjoy writing hubs when I feel good. I also like to keep my hubs and try not to let scores of any of them fall below fifty points on any single one of them. When a hub falls below a fifty I usually put it in a "Not Published Mode," by using Hub Pages editing techniques. When I do this I take a little time to make corrections on my hub. Sometimes I may have to add, or eliminate information.

I am not as professionally motivated to go to any extremes to modify my hubs, but rather than lose one I do prefer to repair it, or fix it, or make it more interesting, or more correctly written.

I do try my best to maintain most of the originality of my hubs because often other hub members may comment on them.

One technique that I find may sometimes improve a hub to a higher score, or to a dramatically higher score can just as simply involve the changing of a title. Titles are a key factor in helping to make hubs interesting. For example, if I were to use the title "John Likes Meatballs," the story might be interesting, but if I say " John Goes Nuts Over Mama's Meatballs," then my story becomes a lot more interesting. Of course be kind , and say why John goes nuts over them.

Take a boring title and change it. Take incorrectly spelled words in hubs, and correct them . Use Hub Pages Spell Corrector. It is really neat. Improve your sentences. Make them sound smoother where words flow together in a collectively better fashion. Add some interesting things to the old hubs, and brighten them up if necessary, but do not change your entire hub. There is no law against changing the entire hub, but I like to stick to the topics. Also if you change all the content of your hub you should keep in mind that the folks that commented on them, commented on the original way it was written.

I try not to let a hub fall below fifty points. I like to have and overall score of about ninety , or in the nineties, but I am happy with what I get if they fall into the eighties. If I fall in the seventies I would start to wonder where I may be making some mistakes. I am going to write probably whatever my scores turn out to be. Often I see I am in the middle eighties.

Don't let a real low score discourage you when you first begin to write. Mine was very low, and in time it began to climb. I think the more professional you become in writing, the higher the scores become.

As time goes on you will really enjoy writing, and your self confidence in your abilities will grow. Hub Pages sort of molds people into becoming really great writers. It simply provides the tools, the support, the resources, the knowledge, and thousands of fantastic authors that you can learn something wonderful from all the time.

Usually high scores are a sign that you may be becoming more at ease, and more polished as a writer.

Great photos are really great. We have a lot of cats in our house so I think I made stars out of them. Everyone here probably knows our cat Gray Fox. Fox is a sweet rascal , and loves delicious steamed chicken. He is very photogenic, and he loves to pose.

Add pictures from Google, or other leading resources, and put life in your hub. Even if they have nothing to do with your hub. People love photographs. While writing about Mars you can even add a picture of your prom chick, and yourself taken from your high school. "Oh look! Here is my picture of my sweetie and I while I was feeding her a delicious chunk of cake at a party. Notice the crumbs I wiped off her lovely smile as I handed her a glass of champagne. "

Try not to let your hubs fall into the forties if you can help them. If it happens, put them in a non published mode, and work on repairing them . There scores will climb up again in most cases, and when they do, then put them back into a published mode.

I do not care for politics. Some folks are better at discussing political issues than others. Beautiful ladies rarely ever run off with politicians. Fighting someone else's battles, getting sucked into some one's disaster. It is hard enough for me to remain a good boy without getting involved in someone else's mistakes. I want be jumping over of any cliffs if I can help it by holding hands with political suicidal writers that say just any kind of ridiculous trash stuff simply to acquire attention.

In other words, if your game for political self destruction, , and your saying things that good people do not want to hear, then do not look for me to back you up. I only support people who are kind, considerate, and caring about fellow human beings. If you have a chip on your shoulder, then find a way to get rid of it, and to join the human race again.

Some controversial issues can never be solved.

Do not be afraid to say silly things, fun things, happy things, lovable and sweet things. Being human is what writing is about, at least in certain kinds of writing.

If you have the time, double check what you write. I have a bad habit of not spending as much time as I should on material I write. If you take your time, it is more than likely that your personal good taste in written material will do wonders for you. Practically everyone has good taste if their not in a hurry.

Outlines are always great even though I never make time for them. They work wonders. As for taking notes, well that is just great. I am bad at not doing that as well.

Honesty is always wonderful. People really like good clean writers . Be honest, sincere, truthful. You can be honest and as a writer ,folks will love you for being your honest self.

How hard is it to write a hub? How hard is it to talk in congress ? Enjoy what you do. Your scores will improve, but if they do not, give yourself time for folks to know you. Read other hubs.

Be comfortable when you write. Writing is like walking in the park and listening to bluebirds sing. You can create art. Writing is a joy, a great , and wonderful experience.
