The Best Christmas Ever
Monday, December 27, 2010
I believe this is one of the best Christmases we have ever had. Becky's grand mother could not come because of the cold weather and rain, and because she was under the weather.
It was too wet and cold to take Becky out in the rain so we remained home, and had our dinner , just the three of us, in our home.
To keep pipes from cracking I ran a little water from a faucet next door from my mothers old house. The cold weather and rain came in, but we enjoyed the warmth of our home.
Our Christmas was not about spending money on a lot of gifts . One thing after another came and went. A broken washing machine, our computer broke , a window was broken in our car, and our light pole got destroyed by fire from a tree falling on our power line.
We thought our house might burn up because the tree caught on fire.
A lot of things happened during November and December, but in the end we had a wonderful Christmas just the three of us , and our cats.
I managed to buy a very nice electric heater for Becky and Joann in December. It kept their legs nice and warm and the house warm.
Joann bought a few gifts for Becky. I sold my deceased mother's old car in our yard , and we had a little money again.
Our cats were very lovable in bed with us this Christmas. I have a large tan cat named Boo. He cuddled up with us all during the freezing cold weather nights. We all stayed nice and warm and had our dinner.
I am glad we did not lose our turkey or ham because of the light pole problem. I am glad we did not have to leave our home because of the power outage.
I asked God for a lot of help. I also asked God to make our Christmas a special one and he did. We had a lot of love in our home, and we thought about Christ being born on that special day.
It was quiet and peaceful and we had our sweet animals that adore us. I helped Joann cook and I helped her around the house with chores. Becky opened her gifts and was happy. We watched television, some good movies and thought about how blessed we were not to lose our home and to have a warm home.
I don't think we really needed anymore than what we had or have in our lives.
Soon the New year will be here. We will have tax customers and everything will be back to normal thanks to our Lord. And I will be working in our yard and I will finish erecting the cross that I will paint white. I hope to have a beautiful yard, paint our home, and have our place looking nice again.
And I definitely will plan on trying to save some money for emergencies, that is for sure. As for gifts, we usually buy things we want all during the year. Christmas this year was more about God than anything else for us, and how our good lord helped us again, and how we thought about Christ on his birthday.
God Bless Everyone.

Being appreciated is the greatest gift anyone could ask for,as I send my appreciation for your hubs and contibutions of your family, stay blessed Lee;)
We expected company but the weather kept them from coming so it was just the two of us and my husband has to work all holidays but we had a big portion of the day together and yesterday we had no electric or computers, phone etc so I thank God that did not happen on Christmas Day. We enjoy quiet solemn days too. Our cat Lilly got so cold she let me put a baby blanket over her. Glad you all stayed warm and had a nice Christ's birthday.
So glad you enjoyed Christmas stars439-Happy and Holy new year to you and yours:)
