Things You Could Do For Your Car.
I am not a mechanic, but I know a few things about cars. Here are some tips I would like to mention that may be helpful to you.
. When buying fuel, buy it from places that have modern facilities. Gasoline is often stored in under ground tanks. Very old storage tanks can accumulate dirt , or trash, somehow, and substances that can cause you to pump trash into your gas tank. Old tanks may even acquire moisture, and water down your gasoline causing your engine to sputter. If your gas tank becomes dirty because of an inferior gas station with old storage tanks , you probably will not get compensated for damages you concur unless you can somehow prove it, so you will have to pay a mechanic to dismantle your gas tank from your car to clean it out at and expense only to you. It is best to buy your gasoline from modern stations if you can , and take care of your car.
. If you can avoid doing it, do not buy gasoline on a freezing day. Long ago I made that mistake, and the digital device at a gasoline structure went loony, and the numbers went up like crazy. My gas pump did not work properly. I had to get to work, otherwise I would have did a lot of complaining about it to try to get money back that I lost , for paying for gasoline that did not go into my tank. I learned a lesson. Buy gasoline on good days when stuff works properly. Freezing weather has a tendency to screw up things.
. Take time to check your blinkers, and brake lights with the help of someone else compressing your brakes.
. Check the oil, and coolant in your car. Once in a while check your brake fluid , and steering fluid.
. Check your car battery terminals. If you see corrosion, mention it to a mechanic, or someone who services your car. Too much corrosion can cause your car not to start.
. Keep window fluid in your car, and keep good working wipers that have enough rubber on them, or they could scratch your car window,
. Check the air in your tires. With the help of a service man, have your tires gauged.
God Bless Everyone
