Before The Cleanup, And While I Worked In The Yard.

August 16, 2010 Tuesday Morning Early.

I woke up from and exhausting sleep. Cool rain and a thunderstorm finally relieved our part of the fiery earth.

Much earlier I went outside to deal with the boiling heat . I take four high blood pressure pills a day so I have to be careful as hot weather reaps a vengeance of it'sw own on me.

I was unable to drive to the city to pick up our medicine because I just did not have the strength to deal with the extreme heat, but in the morning if I can get up, I plan to be at the pharmacy before noon.

Joann was working on cooking a roast. Most of our cats stood and watched her peel potatoes, onions, and cut up carrots.

I went outside late yesterday evening to cut grass. I had to cut grass beside Becky's wheelchair ramp. I managed to cut more of the lawn and some very tall grass around the trailer again. When I stopped working, a thunderstorm was coming in. The earth was on fire from the bitter heat which probably helps to explain the thunderstorm and lightening.

I struggled my way into our trailer and practically fell almost exhausted into a chair. Then I took a shower later as I sat on a bathroom bath tub chair.

After the shower I laid down and went to sleep. When I woke up, Joann had a late supper waiting on the kitchen table for me so I ate some of her cooked roast with rice and gravy, and some roast to Gray Fox.

Fox stood up straight and tall on the floor like a little soldier waiting for some of Joann's roast. He ate a couple servings while I ate with him, then I washed all the kitchen dishes, and the cooking pots. Joann sat and rested while I washed everything. I put a large block of ice in a bowl for the cats. Gray Fox, and the cats love ice, and lick it as it floats in their water bowl. It is a treat we give them every day during hot summer times.

The very last thing I did was to shave before sitting down to relax to write this hub. Joann and Becky are now sleeping. Everything in the house is clean, and I thank God the air conditioner is running all right. Maybe tomorrow I will tackle another air conditioner that may need cleaning, but this time I will be more careful as I work with it. It runs fine so I intend to keep it that way.

Before I go to sleep I may take a pill to relax my nerves a bit. It will help to put me back to sleep. It felt good to wake up in a cooler room because the thunderstorm had brought some relief. The cool air was something I prayed for us to have, and God brought us some relief. The trailer looks bad outside. It needs to be washed with a scrub brush. I will do it someday. It is one of many things to do on my list of tasks to be done.

I wish everyone all the best, and I pray that everyone can stay cool in this summer heat.

God Bless all souls in Heaven and on Earth.
